Job Summary
Check customer identification to verify age requirements, present menus, take orders, and prepare drink orders including wine, liquor, and beer. Prepare appetizers and food items according to recipes, monitor seating, compute bills, and accept payment while tracking sales receipts. Clean work areas, stock kitchen and bar stations, inventory supplies weekly, and maintain accurate temp and waste logs. Limit liability related to excessive drinking by discontinuing service and notifying management when necessary. This role supports the lounge/bar operations at The Courtyard Dallas Arlington South, a premier hotel near AT&T Stadium and Arlington Highlands.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time
- Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
