Job Summary
Mix ingredients and prepare cocktails, wine, and draft beer according to recipes while checking guest identification and presenting current promotions. Take beverage orders from guests or serving staff, accurately record and account for all items ordered, and secure payment. Provide polite, professional customer service and communicate clearly with co-workers and guests. Complete all side work as assigned and account for all sales and receipts. This high-volume role requires at least one to two years of bartending experience, fluency in English, and alcohol awareness certification. Shifts may include nights, weekends, and holidays, with physical duties involving lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience with bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English
- Communication skills
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card
- Reading and writing abilities
- Mathematical skills, including basic math
- The ability to handle, carry or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- The ability to move about the bar, lounge, and kitchen efficiently and safely
- The ability to handle food, objects, products and utensils effectively and safely
- The ability to bend, stand, stoop, and kneel
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Formal bartending training preferred
- Other languages preferred
