Job Summary

Prepare all beverages for guests, actively take orders, and conduct full food and beverage service while monitoring the bar experience. Anticipate guest needs, present menus, answer questions, and solicit allergy or dietary restrictions. Accurately enter orders into the POS system, follow payment procedures, and ensure timely delivery of items. Maintain bar cleanliness, organize liquor displays, and stock stations with prescribed supplies. Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up bar stations, wiping surfaces, and reporting equipment damage. Adhere to state alcohol regulations, sanitation standards, and supervisor instructions. Participate in daily pre-service meetings, training sessions, and team support activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years bartender experience or equivalent related Tao Group Hospitality experience
  • Minimum 2 years of food and beverage experience
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge
  • Comprehensive knowledge of classic cocktails
  • Basic familiarity with wine varietals and classic regions around the world
  • Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
  • Must have good positive energy throughout the day
  • Must be able to print legibly for Team Members, management, and guests to read
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to move quickly
  • Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Must be effective as part of a team
  • Ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
  • Must be able to accommodate the needs of the guests
  • Must be able to present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions for all food and beverage items
  • Must be able to inform guests of all food and beverage specials, with prices
  • Must be able to solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest
  • Must be able to accurately enter all orders into the POS system and follow proper cash/payment card procedures
  • Must be able to ensure the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests at the bar and lounge
  • Must be able to maintain general cleanliness of bar and bar area and the entire venue
  • Must be able to make sure all liquor displays and shelving are organized, and par levels are maintained
  • Must be able to follow supervisor's instructions, communicate with and support co-workers, and be a team player
  • Must possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company
  • Must be able to serve all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards
  • Must be able to comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards
  • Must be able to accurately complete all end-of-shift financial procedures
  • Must be able to communicate the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff, managers, and chefs
  • Must be able to properly set up the bar stations, perform side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management
  • Must be able to ensure the bar and bar area is clean and free of debris
  • Must be able to set bar with proper equipment, and settings as required
  • Must be able to wipe down bar-top, bar stools, lounge tables, and chairs
  • Must be able to stock bar stations with prescribed supplies
  • Must be able to complete opening duties as assigned or directed
  • Must be able to complete closing duties as assigned or directed
  • Must be able to report all breakage, and damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management
  • Must be able to attend and participate in daily pre-service meetings
  • Must be able to attend and participate in any training sessions or departmental meetings
  • Must be able to learn by listening, observing other team members, and sharing knowledge while leading by example
  • Must be able to portray a positive and professional attitude
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners, and supporting hotel environments
  • Must be able to work as part of a team and provide help and support to all fellow team members
  • Must be able to assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned
  • Must be able to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke
  • Must be able to work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work
  • Must be able to maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
