Job Summary
Greet guests promptly, take food and beverage orders, and mix alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company standards. Maintain a clean, well-stocked bar, prepare garnishes, and handle cash transactions with proper paperwork. Coordinate with the kitchen for timely service, follow alcohol awareness procedures, and adhere to safe food handling and workplace safety standards. Perform opening and closing tasks using established checklists. Located at Aventino's Italian Restaurant in Dulles International Airport, this role supports superior guest service in a high-volume airport setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- six months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
- must be able to obtain alcohol awareness certification
- knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor
- Ability to focus on providing a superior guest experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate information individually and in small group situations to customers and co workers
- Ability to understand the English language both written and verbal
- Must be able to communicate in verbal and written forms
- Must be able to visually navigate through the unit
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to lift 60 lb
- Must be able to stoop and bend
- Must be able to reach, grasp, push and pull
- Must be able to continuously stand
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to immerse hands in water and other cleaning agents
