Job Summary
Bartender duties include mixing ingredients to prepare cocktails, serving wine, draught beer, and non-alcoholic beverages, and handling food orders. Responsibilities also cover collecting payments, requisitioning liquors and supplies, stocking glasses and beverages, arranging attractive displays, washing glassware and equipment, preparing garnishes and appetizers, greeting guests warmly, and leading assigned staff in the absence of supervision when required. Strong mixology skills, excellent communication, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, emphasis on cleanliness, safety, responsible alcohol service, and a proactive hospitality mindset are essential. Experience with cash handling, POS systems, bar setup/teardown, and knowledge of food pairing/cross-selling are considered a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- TIPS certification or equivalent
- Must meet all state and local age requirements for serving alcohol
