Job Summary
Receive and stock inventory, stock the bar, greet guests, assist with card transactions, and maintain bar areas per SNHD requirements. Perform daily setup and breakdown, execute opening and closing duties, and ensure proper cash handling. Adhere to state laws on alcohol service and seasonal uniform standards while maintaining professionalism in a high-volume foodservice environment. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled; base pay is $16.14/hour for this steady extra union position.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years' experience in beverage service, preferably in a high volume beverage venue
- Basic beverage and cocktail knowledge
- Awareness of all state laws pertaining to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages
- Ability to perform all job functions
- Effectively communicates verbally with staff, while reading, speaking and fully comprehending English
- Must be teamwork oriented and self-motivated
- Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary licensing and work cards required present and future
- Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled/needed
- Cash handling experience
- Must have valid work authorization for the US
- Successful background check clearance prior to hire
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality
- Lifts and transports boxes and kegs up to 100 lbs. from the back of the house to the front
- Frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, bends and cleans to maintain service areas
- Walks and stands during the entire shift
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licensing and work cards required present and future
- Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards
