Job Summary
Acknowledge all guests at the bar with a warm greeting, offer thoughtful cocktail recommendations, and ensure responsible alcohol service by verifying IDs and monitoring consumption. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, maintaining precision in measurement, balance, and temperature while executing classic and house-crafted drinks. Manage bar operations by maintaining mise en place, organizing tools, rotating inventory, and ensuring cleanliness of the bar top, back bar, and equipment. Assist servers with drink running, answer phone calls within two rings, and communicate clearly regarding bar tickets and special requests. Complete assigned opening and closing duties while supporting the team to ensure smooth service flow.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years minimum of bartending experience
- 21 years or older
- high school diploma or GED
- positive attitude and strong work ethic
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- attention to detail and consistency in execution
- ability to study and memorize cocktail recipes, spirits, wine, and seasonal menus
- flexibility when working alternating shifts
- ability to stand for long periods of time
- strong organizational and time management skills
- knowledge of responsible alcohol service and local alcohol laws
- understanding of proper bar technique, sanitation standards, and professional bar etiquette
