Job Summary
Barrier Wall Installer responsible for installing highway barrier wall, loading and unloading materials, and performing related construction tasks. Duties include handling materials on flat-bed trucks, digging holes, operating power tools, using front end loaders or forklifts, and adhering to applicable regulations and safety guidelines. Must maintain awareness of surroundings on construction sites, operate tools and equipment, and work as part of a team under variable schedules, including overtime and potential night shifts. Requirements include 3-5 years of barrier wall installation or related experience, valid license (CDL preferred but not required), ability to pass drug screening and background checks, and the physical ability to perform demanding outdoor work with heavy lifting and long hours.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years barrier wall installation or related experience
- Class A CDL preferred but not required
- Pass initial drug screening & background check
- Capable of repeated physical effort including driving for many hours per day and/or several hours at a time, standing and walking for extended periods of time, walking on varying ground surfaces, frequently lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to operate hand/power tools, manual dexterity to operate keyboards and smart phones
- Capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions and traffic environments
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Team collaboration and clear communication skills
