Job Summary
Lead and manage day-to-day manufacturing and plant operations, overseeing production scheduling to meet customer demand and operational goals. Ensure a strong commitment to safety-first practices and regulatory compliance while monitoring equipment performance and coordinating maintenance to minimize downtime. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs by supervising, coaching, and developing a team of operators and plant personnel. Manage budgets, production metrics, and operational reporting while collaborating with quality control teams to ensure product standards are met. Partner with leadership to implement strategic operational improvements in an industrial environment requiring flexible hours, including early mornings or extended shifts during peak season.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing or plant operations management
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in industrial environments
- Ability to analyze data and make informed operational decisions
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work in an industrial/plant environment, including exposure to weather and varying temperatures
- Standing, walking, and occasional lifting may be required
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or extended hours during peak season
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus
- Familiarity with construction materials, asphalt, or paving operations is beneficial
