Job Summary
Plan and lead dynamic barre classes using proper technique, providing modifications for varying fitness levels while demonstrating exercises with clear verbal cues. Ensure a safe, supportive environment by offering individualized feedback and maintaining a clean, organized studio before and after each session. Arrive prepared with class plans and necessary equipment, fostering participant engagement and retention through an inclusive atmosphere. Maintain stamina to instruct for 45–60 minute durations while safely lifting and moving fitness equipment up to 50 pounds.

- Certified Barre Instructor through a recognized organization
- Equivalent fitness certification with barre experience
- Previous experience teaching barre classes in a fitness, dance, or wellness setting
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification
- Ability to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification before employment
- Strong communication skills
- Motivational skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to safely instruct participants of diverse ages, abilities, and fitness levels
- Ability to stand and actively instruct for the duration of each class
- Ability to demonstrate and perform a variety of barre exercises
- Ability to frequently walk, bend, kneel, reach, twist, and lift arms overhead
- Stamina and endurance required to lead multiple classes as scheduled
- Ability to verbally communicate instructions clearly and effectively throughout class
- Ability to lift, carry, and move fitness equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to observe participants and provide hands-on or verbal corrections
- Sufficient visual and auditory acuity to monitor participant performance and respond quickly to safety concerns
