Job Summary
Prepare and cook food items including soufflé pancakes and craft beverages while maintaining consistent quality and presentation. Manage kitchen operations by ensuring proper portion control, operating equipment safely, and adhering to all food safety regulations and sanitation procedures. Analyze Profit & Loss reports, monitor kitchen supplies, and assist with opening and closing procedures to support smooth daily operations. Work collaboratively with the team to maintain efficiency during peak hours and provide friendly customer service. This role requires flexibility for weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with a weekly schedule of 36-40 hours.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of supervisory experience in food and beverage operations and/or retail store environments
- Basic understanding in a variety of technology systems including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and ability to learn and adapt to new systems quickly
- Basic understanding of reading and analyzing P&L reports
- Trained to operate cash registers accurately and efficiently
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Friendly, positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to stand for periods of time and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and food quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Food Handler Certification
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for holidays
- Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for up to four hours
- Must be able to reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Must have effective verbal communication skills
- Must be able to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Must be able to manage challenging or high-pressure situations with composure
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Japanese) is preferred but not required
