Job Summary
Prepare coffee drinks, small bites, and other refreshments while serving guests at three distinct dining outlets. Maintain a warm, service-focused atmosphere by ensuring smooth operations, restocking bar areas, and communicating openly with managers regarding feedback. Collaborate with hotel staff to promote offerings, resolve guest issues using good judgment, and reconcile shift reports accurately. Operate cash registers and hot beverage makers while adhering to uniform guidelines and side work area standards. Requires a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, a Serv Safe Food Handler Certificate, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Required Qualifications
- Must follow all steps of service
- Requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet guests' needs and respond quickly without losing focus
- Must be able to adapt to different personalities of guests and coworkers without losing focus
- Must have the ability to comprehensively understand the menu's food and beverage items and communicate to guests effectively and accurately
- Must recognize problems when they arise and be able to resolve them appropriately by using good judgment, tact and initiative according to company policy and procedure
- Must be able to reconcile basic shift reports
- Must ensure a clean and organized workspace per side work guidelines issued by management
- Follow uniform guidelines
- Ability to understand and execute management's instructions, read written company memorandums, and communicates when he or she needs more direction
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Current Serv Safe Food Handler Certificate Required
- Requires mobility and prolonged standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 40 lbs
- Education: High school certificate or equivalent
- Familiarity with POS systems (Toast)
- Compute basic arithmetic
- Perform job junctions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Prioritize, organize, and follow up
- Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment
- Follow directions thoroughly
- Work with minimal supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with MS Office, Google Apps and other organizational computer tools
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal preferred
- Provide legible communication and directions
- Previous experience preferred
