Barista PRN

Barista PRN – Part time at Mercy Medical Center’s hospital cafe. Responsible for daily operations and appearance of the coffee bar, ensuring sanitary, organized service and adherence to food codes and regulatory requirements. Provides professional customer service, prepares beverages using cappuccino/coffee equipment, maintains stock and temperatures, performs opening/closing duties, handles cash and POS operations, and supports multiple café duties per shift. Must pass barista training within 2 months of hire; prior restaurant/food service experience preferred; expects ability to read/write, communicate effectively, and comply with safety, HIPAA, and facility policies. Works in a fast-paced hospital setting with physical requirements including standing, lifting, repetitive motions, and exposure to kitchen/food service environments.
