Job Summary
Serve guests courteously while preparing coffee, tea, and other beverages alongside food items. Accurately take orders, make recommendations, and verify identification for alcohol sales. Prepare, stock, and serve food using kitchen equipment like the TurboChef oven. Maintain clean bar surfaces and routinely clean espresso machines and brewing gear. Process cash and credit transactions, run end-of-shift reports, and stock side stations. Complete required training such as Responsible Beverage Service and Food Handler Cards. Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with stocking and attend brand promotion training. Adhere to all safety, security, and operational policies while maintaining punctuality.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with specialized coffee bar equipment and recipes
- English speaking or bilingual
- Operate cash register and process credit cards
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgment
- Dependable
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, and carrying
- Reaching above, at and below shoulder level
- Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 35 lbs. of bulk goods
- Exposure to cleaning agents
- Basic federal, state, and local laws
Desired Qualifications
- Previous one (1) year related experience preferred
- Prior experience as a server in a restaurant or hotel restaurant preferred
