Job Summary
Craft and serve the full beverage menu adhering to maman's recipes and standards, ensuring drinks are prepared within 8 minutes on weekdays and 10 minutes on weekends. Execute POS tickets accurately while demonstrating proficiency in espresso preparation, milk texturing, and latte art. Deliver warm, personalized service by following the Smile, Engage, Name, Thank You steps and building rapport with returning guests. Maintain a clean, DOH-compliant workstation and bar workflow, completing opening and closing tasks including FIFO practices and deep-cleaning duties. Collaborate with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to support seamless service and assist in multiple roles as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of barista experience
- Ability to pass a barista skills evaluation
- Working knowledge of espresso preparation, micro-foam milk texturing, and basic latte art
- Strong understanding of POS tickets, modifiers, and beverage offerings
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events, unless pre-approved to work a specific schedule at hiring as per business needs
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks related to the role, including being able to lift up to 25 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a high-volume or specialty coffee environment
- A positive attitude, strong sense of humor, and ability to contribute to a fun, team-oriented culture
- Passion for hospitality and a sweet tooth for cookies is a plus
