Job Summary
Lead barista role focusing on daily store operations and customer service excellence. Responsible for coaching new hires through their learning, ensuring adherence to store policies and health/sanitation standards, maintaining operational flow across stations, training teammates in Starbucks customer service standards and overall performance expectations, and contributing to sales and profitability through effective shift management, cash handling, and product organization. Requires at least 1 year of certified barista experience, ability to complete advanced store training within 6 months, and certification as an in-store learning coach within 6 months; high school diploma or GED preferred. Familiarity with food service operations, safety and health guidelines, and the ability to read/write and prepare basic reports is expected. The role embodies Mercy/Starbucks standards and supports training integrity for staff development. This is a full-time, on-site position at Mercy Medical Center with emphasis on customer service, team leadership, and adherence to policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year experience as a certified barista
- Must be able to pass advanced store training within 6 months of hire
- Must become certified as an in-store learning coach within 6 months of hire
- High school diploma or GED preferred
