Job Summary
Greet every guest warmly, anticipate needs, and deliver personalized recommendations while maintaining high service standards. Prepare and serve coffee, espresso beverages, teas, pastries, and grab-and-go food items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Accurately process cash, credit card, and mobile payment transactions; balance the cash drawer and follow established procedures. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and blenders safely; restock products and supplies throughout the shift. Maintain a clean, sanitary work area by sanitizing equipment and rotating inventory using FIFO principles. Promote featured offerings through suggestive selling to maximize revenue and assist with merchandising displays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and speak English and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees, guests and supervisors for optimum operation of the property
- Demonstrates sound judgment and the ability to prioritize work, solve routine operational issues, and provide exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment
- Frequently stand and walk throughout the shift
- Frequently bend, reach, stoop, and lift
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 30–50 pounds
- Use hands repetitively to prepare beverages and operate equipment
- Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the hotel's needs
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma preferred
- Previous cash handling or food service experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of coffee and tea preparation techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail
- Exceptional customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences
- Professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the luxury standards of our hotel
