Job Summary
Complete opening and closing duties including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and locking doors. Set up work areas, input orders into the cash register and MICROS system, prepare beverages, and manage change and bank counts. Clean dishes, utensils, and work surfaces throughout the day. Welcome guests, address service needs, and up-sell beverages while adhering to quality standards and liquor laws. Report equipment breakdowns or safety issues to supervisors. Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality. Attend work on time per rostered shift requirements.
Required Qualifications
- To attend work on time, ensuring that you are at your workstation in line with your rostered shift requirement
- Know the methods a guest can finalize their account and checking all is correct
- Comprehend and utilize the techniques of selling and the importance of increasing the average beverage check, recognizing every opportunity to up-sell
- Know the individual menu items including basic ingredients and the method of preparation
- Know the food and beverage prices
- Know the operating hours of all food and beverage outlets
- Ensure that the liquor, tobacco and licensing laws are abided by and understand the correct procedures for handling an intoxicated and underage guest
- Know and follow the procedures for correct service of beverages and be knowledgeable of wines
