Job Summary
Prepare consistently high-quality espresso coffee and a range of hot and cold beverages while maintaining excellent presentation and consistency during busy service periods. Manage the coffee station, take customer orders accurately through POS, and ensure smooth service flow. Provide friendly, professional customer service with every interaction and monitor coffee supplies, milk stock, and cafĂŠ inventory levels. Complete opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties while following food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards. Work collaboratively with the kitchen and Front of House teams to support general cafĂŠ operations as required.
Required Qualifications
- previous Barista experience in a busy cafĂŠ or hospitality environment
- strong knowledge of espresso coffee preparation and beverage service
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- ability to multitask and remain calm during busy service periods
- reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
- confidence using POS systems and handling customer orders
- availability to work weekdays, weekends, public holidays, and school holiday periods
- holding (or being willing to obtain) a current Food Handler Certificate
