Job Summary
Prepare food items according to designated recipes, cook for scheduled meal periods, and serve beverages and food to guests in a friendly, timely manner. Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment while maintaining food safety standards and inspecting food from the kitchen. Manage guest orders efficiently, stock designated stations, and handle cash and credit card payments. Complete opening and closing duties including setting up stations, preparing meals, and removing soiled wares. Work cohesively with co-workers in a fast-paced environment, adhering to all safety protocols and service standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalence
- 1 year experience in a similar role
- Must adhere to the company's Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life
- Must participate in all required meetings and training
- Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards
- Properly handle and maintain all equipment
- Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and constructive feedback in a polite and efficient manner
- Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures
- Serve customers quickly and efficient
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings and must be able to make recommendations
- Observe relevant health and safety standards
- Ensure that the opening/closing duties are complete as per protocol
- Have a thorough knowledge of all the retail items
- Abide by all policies and safety rules
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
- Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs
