Job Summary
Take orders at the counter, prepare coffee, tea, and other drinks to customer specifications, and package baked goods as ordered. Operate cash registers and credit card machines while maintaining proper sanitation of the front of house and an inviting environment for customers. Keep simple records, maintain the cash register without recurring errors, and conduct inventory to report needed supplies. Perform other duties as assigned while complying with local health codes and wearing required branded attire. Work Wednesday through Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm and 8 am to 1 pm, earning $15 per hour plus tips.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year previous experience in related field
- An equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with customers, students, faculty, and staff face to face and via the telephone, and maintain a pleasant and inviting environment for all
- Ability to memorize product descriptions and properly describe each item in a manner that promotes sales
- Ability to keep simple records and maintain a cash register without reoccurring errors
- Ability to conduct inventory and report needed supplies
- Must maintain proper sanitation standards
- Must comply with local health codes
- Closed-toe, non-slip shoes
- All hair must be neat and covered with a hair net or hat
- A beard net is required for facial hair
- The only jewelry permitted is a plain wedding band
