Job Summary
Educate customers on beverage menus, take orders, and greet patrons as they arrive. Perform day-to-day operations of the coffee stand, including maintaining quality control, handling cash, and operating the POS system. Keep the bar area and stand clean, report maintenance needs, and comply with health and safety regulations. Solve customer challenges via excellent service, communicate feedback to managers, and recommend new menu items. Prepare excellent quality beverages, restock work areas, empty trash, and sanitize equipment. Work alone or with others to deliver consistency while maintaining positive staff morale. Availability includes nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Hourly wage of $17.15 plus tips, averaging $17.15-$30.00 an hour, with overtime at time-and-a-half. 90-day probationary period, PTO/sick leave, and 401K after 90 days. Free coffee beverages on shift.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work on your feet and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to communicate with confidence, transparency, and integrity
- Listening: ability to listen and follow instructions, take critical feedback as necessary
- Technical: must possess basic computer skills to perform their job and have aptitude for leveraging technology in the workplace
- Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handlers Card
- Ability to stand for 6 hours or more per shift
- Ability to bend, stoop or kneel as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Use of hand dexterity for writing, grabbing, pulling, twisting, shaking
- Must be 18 years or older

Desired Qualifications
- Having coffee experience is not required but is preferred
- Passionate about coffee, have a great work ethic, and a desire to become more involved with BigFoot Java
- A positive and pleasant attitude may help general managers earn respect and cooperation from their employees and clients
