Job Summary
Educate customers on the beverage menu, take orders, and greet guests as they arrive. Perform day-to-day coffee stand operations, including maintaining bar cleanliness, reporting maintenance needs, and ensuring quality control during product exchanges. Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system while complying with health and safety regulations. Complete shift financial reporting and communicate customer feedback to managers for potential menu updates. Solve customer challenges through excellent service and maintain positive staff morale. Prepare high-quality beverages consistently, restock work areas, sanitize equipment, and empty trash. Work on feet for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work on your feet and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to communicate with confidence, transparency, and integrity
- Listening: ability to listen and follow instructions, take critical feedback as necessary
- Technical: must possess basic computer skills to perform their job and have aptitude for leveraging technology in the workplace
- Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment
- High School Diploma or GED
- Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handlers Card
- Ability to stand for 6 hours or more per shift
- Ability to bend, stoop or kneel as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Use of hand dexterity for writing, grabbing, pulling, twisting, shaking
- Must be 18 years or older

Desired Qualifications
- Having coffee experience is not required but is preferred
- Passionate about coffee, have a great work ethic, and a desire to become more involved with BigFoot Java
- A positive and pleasant attitude may help general managers earn respect and cooperation from their employees and clients
