Job Summary
Greet guests warmly, take beverage and food orders accurately, and enter them promptly into the POS system. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation guidelines while demonstrating expert knowledge of ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods. Engage with guests using polished, professional communication to provide informed recommendations, beverage pairings, and perform suggestive selling. Monitor bar guests proactively, anticipate needs, and respond promptly to requests. Prepare and deliver bar food items, desserts, and beverages with correct timing and presentation. Manage bar tabs, process payments, provide receipts, and thank guests for visiting. Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the bar top, tools, glassware, and service area during active service. Polish glassware and bar utensils, clean and maintain bar tools and equipment, and replenish napkins, straws, stirrers, and bar service supplies. Communicate guest concerns, service issues, or product shortages to leadership immediately. Record all hours worked accurately using the timekeeping system.
Required Qualifications
- Valid alcohol service permit or certification as required by state or local law
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs as needed
- Professional appearance and adherence to company grooming standards
- Accuracy when handling money, tabs, and POS transactions
- Ability to prepare beverages accurately and consistently according to recipes
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of bartending or beverage-focused hospitality experience preferred
- Strong communication, multitasking, and guest service skills
