Job Summary
Barback position with apprenticeship potential at The Whaling Bar. Responsibilities include stocking and stocking bar items, glassware maintenance, preparing garnishes, managing ice wells and beer kegs, making syrups and batches with recipe-pars, recording pars on spreadsheets, keeping the bar area neat and clean, handling spills and emergencies, and occasionally pouring beer or wine under supervision. Must be able to stand 8+ hours, perform side work, and work collaboratively with a team; pay is $17.25/hr plus tips. Opportunity to grow within a fine-dining/cocktail program and advance toward bartending responsibilities. Located in La Jolla, CA (US).
