Job Summary
Stock and organize bar stations with liquor, wine, beer, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and supplies during service. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, back bar, storage rooms, and equipment by polishing glassware and removing empty bottles, trash, and recyclables promptly. Assist bartenders with opening and closing procedures, including setup and breakdown, while adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers, and management to support smooth operations and uphold The Setai's luxury service culture, grooming standards, and Forbes Travel Guide compliance. This non-management role requires attention to detail in a fast-paced environment and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks required for the role
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must adhere strictly to The Setai grooming and uniform standards, including clean, pressed uniform and polished appearance
- Professional demeanor and respectful attitude at all times
- Commitment to maintaining a refined and discreet presence consistent with a luxury hospitality environment
- Must comply with all company policies and Forbes Travel Guide standards
- Knowledge of bar setup, tools, and basic beverage operations preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Barback or in a high-volume, luxury food & beverage environment preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Understanding of hygiene, safety, and alcohol service regulations
