Job Summary
Prepare mixers, cut fruit, receive requisitions, check par levels, and refill mixers. Run food, collect and dispose of garbage, and ensure the bar is stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer. Set up and breakdown the bar daily, assisting with opening and closing duties like restocking garnishes, straws, and napkins while ensuring bartenders have clean towels and glassware. Keep the bar clean by wiping surfaces, sweeping, mopping, removing soiled glassware, scrubbing coolers, and emptying trash. Maintain records and report usage levels to assist in the reordering process. This role requires minimum age to serve alcohol, menu knowledge, and the ability to meet physical demands including lifting heavy items and working nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age to serve alcohol
- Knowledge of menu items, including beers, wines, cocktails, and liquors
- Basic math and computer skills
- Strong problem solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to handle tense situations with coworkers and customers calmly and rationally
- Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items for extended periods and working nights, weekends, and holidays
- High school or equivalent education
- One to two (1-2) years of bar experience or equivalent
