Job Summary
Oversee daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and equipment maintenance. Recruit, train, and supervise bar staff while conducting regular team meetings and providing performance feedback. Monitor budgets, sales, and expenses to identify trends and improve profitability through strategic beverage menu development. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests to ensure a welcoming atmosphere and consistent high-quality service. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol laws. Requires proven experience in bar management, mixology knowledge, and proficiency with POS systems. Certification in responsible beverage service is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a bar manager, bartender, or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of alcoholic beverages, mixology, and bar operations
- Leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in budgeting, inventory management, and sales analysis
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and other relevant software
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capability to lift and move heavy items (e.g., kegs, cases of beverages)
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in responsible beverage service (e.g., TIPS, RBS)
