Job Summary
Oversee daily bar operations, ensuring smooth service, high customer satisfaction, and adherence to sanitation and alcohol beverage control policies. Supervise and train bar staff, manage hiring and scheduling, and handle administrative duties including inventory management, waste control, and payroll. Be present on the floor during service to build guest relationships, provide hands-on support during peak hours, and coordinate seamlessly with the kitchen. Plan and execute special events and promotions to increase revenue while maintaining cleanliness and equipment standards. Control cash and receipts in accordance with accounting guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment
- Minimum of 1 year of management or supervisory experience
- Previous experience opening an upscale, full-service restaurant with a proven track record of providing the highest level of guest and employee satisfaction
- Extensive knowledge of bar lifecycles and setup, spirits, cocktail ingredients, and garnishes
- Familiarity with alcohol service and food safety standards, including DOH protocols
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing 10 – 30 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on a regular (or occasional basis)
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
