Job Summary
Assist Bartender in the serving of guests to ensure positive guest experience. Responsibilities include retrieving orders from storeroom, verifying stock against requisitions with storeroom personnel, re-checking items with the bartender on delivery, cutting and preparing garnishes and fruits, pouring juices to specified amounts, storing back-up supplies for later use, maintaining bar area cleanliness and organization, scooping ice and replenishing ice containers, boxing and saving empty liquor bottles for returns, transporting taps and performing routine maintenance on heavy beer kegs, and adhering to attendance rules. The role requires hotel/hospitality experience (preferred), strong communication with guests, basic math for portions, physical dexterity to handle knives, glassware, bottles, ice, and up to 150 lbs lifting, and the ability to follow product labeling and work within temperature-controlled environments. Required Qualifications
- Hotel experience preferred
- Must communicate well with guests
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to ensure proper delivery amounts and understand portion sizes
- Sufficient manual dexterity of hands to use a knife, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs and stock items overhead
- Ability to comprehend product labeling for safe application of processes
- Ability to bend, lift and carry, or move goods on a hand cart up to 150 lbs on a continuous schedule
- Ability to perform duties within temperature ranges (normal to refrigerated)
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
