Job Summary
Oversee event spaces and staff to ensure smooth, efficient event execution and proper guest engagement. Proactively handle guest concerns while reviewing Banquet Event Orders and layouts for accurate setups. Manage inventory logs, inspect service areas for sanitation and safety, and supervise staff performance and grooming. Cross-cover any staff position as needed and facilitate training on food, wine, and service standards. Maintain calm communication during high-pressure situations and execute all duties directed by managers. Requires flexible evening and weekend availability with a PT shift.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in catering, hospitality, or food and beverage service
- Proven track record of peer leadership and team delegation
- Strong understanding of service standards and hospitality best practices
- Experience with event planning, food and beverage service, or banquet operations
- Familiarity with various event formats, including weddings, conferences, and private parties
- Comfortable with event setup and breakdown, including furniture and basic AV equipment
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food handling and fire safety protocols
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm and collaborative in fast-paced or high-pressure environments
- Team-oriented with a strong focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences
- Current Food Handler and Alcohol Server certifications (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe), as required by jurisdiction
- Flexible schedule with all nights and weekends available
- Able to independently lift up to 50lbs for an extended period of time
- Must be able to walk and/or stand for 8-10 hours per day

- Must be able to climb stairs in venue that have multiple levels
- Evening and weekend availability required
