Job Summary
Serve food and drinks for guests using suggestive selling techniques, assist bartenders with taking orders and processing them in the point-of-sale system during peak hours, and run food to guests. Restock liquor bottles, change kegs, and replenish bar inventory including glassware, ice, and cleaning supplies. Clean bar and table surfaces, wipe down high-touch areas, sweep and mop service areas, and remove used glassware and trash. Answer customer questions, route complaints to appropriate staff, and troubleshoot simple appliance malfunctions while adhering to food handling and liquor laws.
Required Qualifications
- High school education/GED
- Previous experience as a barback/support staff member
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
- Knowledge or and ability to operate a computer
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
- Know and comply with food handling and liquor laws
- Adhere to hotel grooming standards
- Pre-employment background check
