Job Summary
Join our team as a Bar Back, where you will assist bartenders in preparing drinks and ensuring a clean and organized bar area. Responsibilities include maintaining food safety standards, managing cash transactions, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates should possess prior experience in a high-end dining setting, have strong knowledge of beverages, and demonstrate effective communication skills. A high school diploma is preferred, along with necessary food and alcohol service certifications.
Required Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of previous experience as a Bar Back in a high-end dining establishment
- Current Local/State Food Handler’s Training Certifications as required
- Current Local/State Alcohol Beverage Service Training Certifications as required
- Legal age to serve alcohol beverages
- Able to perform the essential functions of the assigned position with or without reasonable accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of wines, vintages, and wine pairings
- Knowledge of beers, spirits, and cocktails
- Good math proficiency, and knowledge of cash handling
- Basic familiarity with computers (POS systems, calculators, and touch screens)
