Job Summary
Security position at Ochsner Health focused on safeguarding patients, guests, and employees. Enforces safety and security rules, conducts routine inspections of company property, investigates incidents, conducts opening/lockdown of buildings, and participates in emergency response and drills. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, 1 year of security-related experience, BLS certification, a valid driver’s license with a clean DMV, CPI and firearms training, and IAHSS certification to be obtained within 90 days of hire. Strong communication and data-entry skills, ability to walk extensive areas, and adherence to privacy and regulatory standards are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in Security, law enforcement, or military
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association
- Valid driver’s license with clean DMV report
- Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI)
- Firearms training
- IAHSS Certification to be obtained within 90 days of promotion/hire
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and data entry
