Baptist Carroll County- PRN Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Job Summary
Conduct conscious sedation and MAC anesthesia for outpatient and inpatient cases, manage patient airways, and oversee emergence and recovery while documenting pre-anesthetic assessments and obtaining informed consent. Lead quality initiatives by developing continuity of care standards, collaborating with hospital staff and administration, and ensuring compliance with AANA and local regulations. Respond to emergency situations using advanced cardiac life support techniques and discharge patients from the post-anesthesia care area with follow-up evaluations. Work 8-hour weekday shifts with 24-hour call rotations and 60-minute response times. Maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor
- Successfully completed the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) Council on Certification or its predecessor's
- At least two years of independent experience
- ACLS/BLS/PALS certification
- Must be able to read and write English
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, patients, patient's family and other employees of organization
- Able to work in a team-oriented environment
- General computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- 8 hour weekday shifts as needed
- 24-hour call shifts (Weekday/Weekend) as needed with 60 minute call response time
