Job Summary
Supervise and assist with the setup and breakdown of assigned banquet functions, inspecting work against the Banquet Event Order and ensuring sanitation standards. Act as the liaison between Sales, Catering, and the Food & F&B Manager, while hiring, training, and supervising all Banquet staff. Manage liquor requisitions and inventory, submit Wage Progress reports to maintain labor productivity, and respond to guest complaints or accidents by communicating issues to management. Enforce all Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, and fire regulations while cross-training in the Cafe as needed. Maintain regular attendance and personal grooming in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be proficient in Windows 95 Company approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
