Job Summary
The Banquets Set-Up Lead oversees the Conference Center Banquet Housecleaner Department, ensuring cleanliness and quality standards for all conference-related functions, both on-site and off-site. Responsibilities include leading and evaluating staff, managing schedules and payroll, and facilitating communication with clients and other departments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years of experience with setting up events, hospitality operations, and/or food beverage services
- Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid Commonwealth of Virginia driver’s license
- Acceptable driving record based on The Colonial Williamsburg Foundation’s criteria
- At least 21 years of age
- No more than 1 moving violation or at fault accident within 12 months
- No more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents within 36 months
- No serious motor vehicle violations
Desired Qualifications
- 7 years of experience with setting up events, hospitality operations, and/or food beverage services
- Previous experience with industry Point of Sale and Hotel Date Input Systems (Opera)
- Previous experience as a banquet housecleaner or lead banquet housecleaner
Additional Requirements
- Must provide a 5-year Motor Vehicle Record prior to employment
- Must not have any serious motor vehicle violations
