Job Summary
Set up and service all assigned banquet functions, including reading the Banquet Event Order and familiarizing yourself with the assigned menu. Approach guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner while maintaining high standards of personal appearance and proper uniform. Perform preparatory tasks, clear banquet space after events, and restock supplies to ensure efficient food service. Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents by referring to management when necessary. Comply with all Aimbridge Hospitality standards, including Alcohol Awareness certification, food handler safety, and fire safety protocols. Maintain a neat banquet store room and attend meetings as required by management.
Required Qualifications
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
