Banquets Houseperson (On call)

Job Summary
Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet, meeting, and conference areas by vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, and removing trash. Stock supply rooms, report maintenance deficiencies, and ensure all equipment functions properly. Assist with banquet setups and breakdowns, manage food and beverage function arrangements, and clean spots, debris, and insects from event spaces. Provide professional service to guests and team members, attend departmental meetings, and support back-of-house staff as needed. Be familiar with scheduled events to ensure proper preparation. Work on-call shifts, including holidays, while maintaining flexibility for extended periods under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of meeting room setups, banquet service standards, guest relations, and etiquette
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure for extended periods while maintaining professionalism
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as required
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays
- Gaming license as required by jurisdiction
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 75 pounds with assistance
- Ability to push and pull (transport) at least 125 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods of time
- Ability to move banquet furniture and equipment safely and efficiently
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust
