Job Summary
Banquet Houseperson responsible for the physical set-up, breakdown, and resetting of all banquet functions with minimal supervision. Translates Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) into functional, aesthetically pleasing environments for guests; maintains high sanitation standards; conducts daily inspections of banquet spaces; communicates with Banquet Captains and Managers; adheres to safety policies and environmental stewardship. Requires experience with banquet set-up in luxury resorts, ability to handle equipment and move heavy items, and proficiency in English (Spanish a plus).
Required Qualifications
- Age of at least 18 (21+ if required to operate resort vehicles)
- Valid driver’s license with satisfactory motor vehicle record
- Mandatory Food Handler’s Certificate
- TABC Certification
- TIPs Training
- Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English; bilingual in Spanish considered an asset
- Previous experience in banquet set-up, particularly within a luxury resort environment
- Ability to lift/move equipment, tables, and chairs up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform demanding manual labor throughout a full shift
- Self-starter with a team-first mentality and impeccable grooming standards
- Slip-resistant footwear
