Job Summary
Set up and clean up banquet functions while monitoring assigned sections to ensure patrons are served. Vacuum, sweep, mop, polish, and wipe areas before, during, and after events. Maintain banquet areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition, ensuring rooms are cleared, locked, and equipment is stored properly at the close of each function. Greets guests upon arrival, answers questions, takes food and beverage orders, and presents menus. Cook or prepare food according to recipes and assist in food production. Clear tables, reset counters, and maintain kitchen and wait stations by keeping areas tidy and stocking assigned spaces. Report tips for tax processing and adhere to safety and security procedures. Work varying shifts including nights and weekends, with schedules that may vary based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to report potentially unsafe conditions
- Ability to use equipment and materials properly
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule
