Job Summary
Banquet Sous Chef collaborates with the Banquet Manager, Pastry Chef, and Catering to plan event menus, oversees kitchen organization, manages labor and costs, creates weekly schedules, trains staff, and ensures food safety and HACCP standards. Responsible for inventory, procurement, equipment maintenance, and coordinating with other departments to deliver high-quality, cost-controlled banquet services; supports the Banquet Chef in maintaining culinary excellence and operational efficiency for events. Qualifications include culinary degree or equivalent, multiple years of progressive culinary leadership, and strong cost-control and leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Culinary Degree or Equivalent preferred
- 4 years of progressive culinary operations experience
- 2 years of culinary management with at least 1 year as Sous Chef in a luxury hotel or multi-outlet restaurant
