Banquet Setup Attendant (Full-Time)

Job Summary
Set up and clean up banquet functions while monitoring assigned sections to ensure patrons are served. Vacuum, sweep, mop, polish, and wipe areas before, during, and after events. Maintain banquet areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition, clearing and locking rooms at the end of each shift. Store equipment in designated areas, greet guests upon arrival, and answer questions or take orders. Cook or prepare food according to recipes and assist in food production based on the menu and guest count. Clear tables, reset counters, and stock assigned areas while reporting tips for tax processing. Work varying shifts including nights and weekends to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to report potentially unsafe conditions
- Ability to use equipment and materials properly
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience whether verbal or written
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time
- Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
- Ability to work nights and weekends
