Job Summary
Set up and move tables, chairs, linen, staging, and banquet equipment according to banquet event orders and contract specifications. Break down, dispose of, and store all function items after each event, ensuring proper return to storage areas. Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet rooms, equipment, and service areas by performing cleaning, trash disposal, and vacuuming duties. Assist with event changes and guest requests while adhering to safety, fire regulations, and brand standards. Work flexible shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision
- Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently
- Must be able to speak, understand, and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently to arrange tables, chairs, etc
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow-up
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel
- Ascend and descend a ladder
- Adhere to attendance and reliability standards
