Job Summary
Banquet Server responsible for delivering full-service food and beverage experiences to faculty, staff, students, and guests at USC events. Responsibilities include taking accurate orders, providing menu suggestions, basic food and beverage preparation, serving, checking orders for accuracy, maintaining presentation standards, attending to guests, processing payments in line with cash handling policies, stocking and maintaining supplies, assisting in set-up and break-down of dining room/events, and delivering items to on-campus and offsite catering events. Maintains cleanliness, adheres to health and safety procedures, participates in meetings, and upholds USC’s Unifying Values while representing USC Hospitality in a professional capacity. The role requires strong English communication, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a competitive hourly rate of $17.87.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 1 year
- Education: High school diploma not required
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures
- Demonstrated customer service experience
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Presents oneself professionally, in line with hotel environment
- Valid CA driver's license required
- DMV Pull Notice System participation
