Job Summary
Prepare function sites and set dining tables, buffets, and service areas according to specifications and banquet event orders. Serve food and beverage items to guests while anticipating their needs and communicating requests to the department manager. Maintain clean banquet and catering kitchens, coolers, and equipment, and assist with inventory control and waste monitoring. Incorporate safe work practices throughout job performance and perform other duties as required. This seasonal part-time role offers hourly compensation between $16.90 and $17.40.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months of banquet setting and service experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- at least 18 years of age
- ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent
- Frequently stands, walks, talks, listens, and uses hands
- Regularly reaches with hands and arms
- Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits
- Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace
- Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes
