Job Summary
Set up and breakdown food and beverage products for catered events, preparing daily activities and scheduled events. Serve food and beverage products to event participants, vendors, and host clients while managing table set-ups, place settings, and serving areas. Assist with event coordination, including moving catering products back to the kitchen, and handle on-site or off-site cleanup of all plates, dishes, silverware, glassware, linens, chairs, and garbage. Print food and product labels and signage for buffets, maintaining a clean and professional appearance. Communicate effectively with guests, managers, the Catering Director, and Chefs to handle last-minute requests and event orders. Work weekends, late evenings, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least sixteen years old
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcoholic beverages
- Must successfully complete restaurant training course
- Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Must be available and work weekends, late evenings, and Holidays, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Well-organized with ability to take and place food and beverage orders accurately
- Ability to operate point-of-sale systems
