Job Summary
Prepare banquet rooms according to event specifications, including setting up tables, chairs, linens, and service stations. Provide attentive food and beverage service to guests during events, serving courses, refilling beverages, and addressing guest needs. Break down and clean event spaces after services, clearing tables, storing equipment, and resetting the room for the next event. Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ontario Smart Serve
- Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight
- Must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment
- Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as a banquet server, waiter/waitress, or in a similar role in the food and beverage or hospitality industry
