Job Summary
Set up and service all assigned banquet functions while maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Approach guests and employees with a friendly, service-oriented demeanor, responding to problems, complaints, and accidents by referring to management when necessary. Perform preparatory tasks, side work, and clear banquet space after functions to ensure equipment and supplies are stored and restocked properly. Read the Banquet Event Order, familiarize yourself with assigned menus, and handle 'Lost and Found' items according to standards. Comply with certification requirements for Alcohol Awareness, food handlers, and safety, while maintaining neatness in the banquet store room.
Required Qualifications
- Alcohol Awareness certification
- Food handlers certification
- Safety certification
- Ability to read the Banquet Event Order
- Familiarity with the menu of the assigned function
- Knowledge of fire exits
- Knowledge of fire extinguisher locations
- Knowledge of safety rules
- Familiarity with the organization of the hotel
- Knowledge of the function of each department
- Access to back of house areas of the hotel
- Access and control to sensitive areas in the hotel premises
- Possession of Master Keys and/or guestrooms access
