Job Summary
Read and understand Banquet Event Orders to provide fine dining-level food and beverage service for all events. Initiate and maintain friendly, professional contact with guests, anticipating and meeting their needs while setting up and maintaining food and beverage stations throughout the property. Maintain inventory for stations, keep event areas tidy, and participate in setup and cleanup, working independently during slower times. Perform safe work practices to ensure a clean environment and handle simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members, or regulatory agencies. Carry at least 8 entries per tray while multitasking with a customer-focused attitude. Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet age requirement to serve alcoholic drinks
- Must be punctual with consistent attendance
- Must be able to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and select holidays
- Must be detail-oriented to ensure that work is accurate and complete
- Ability to multitask
- Must have a customer-focused, positive, and professional attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to carry at least 8 entries per tray
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent GED is strongly preferred
- Equivalent experience may be substituted
- 1 year of work experience in events, banquets, or restaurants preferred
